    @MaxHPep It’s worth noting that 2 valves per cylinder most times results in inferior air flow of a cylinder head, therefore is often a more inefficient design.

  4. MaxHPep says:

    @needleonthevinyl Correct they are rare, but there are a few out there. But I like simplicity, and given the choice, I would prefer just 2 valves per cyclinder, SOHC. And look at the Cummins engines! They’re 4 valves per cylinder and PUSHROD!

  5. needleonthevinyl says:

    @MaxHPep Indeed. There are some other engines out there that are both SOHC and 4 valve, but they aren’t very common. The disadvantage is losing the ability to change how each valve individually moves.

    i dont know what your talking about dude but i can clearly see the exhaust flow coming out the exaust, not into the engine.

  13. ejreams says:

    @urbex2007 No it doesn’t.

    It shows it spinning the fins and being rejected out a pipe… lol

  14. urbex2007 says:

    The animation is not correct, it shows the flow of exhaust gases in to the engine!
    Exhaust gas comes out of the engine to drive the turbo.
